Australia Adventure

For the past few years I’ve wanted to take a trip to a foreign country. I decided that I wanted to go to a country where English is the main language. My top two picks were England and Australia. There were a lot of reasons I decided on Australia. The scuba diving is better, they have a lot of weird animals, and I could afford the plane tickets. I also want to find a kangaroo and box it.
I talked my friend Mark into coming with me (it wasn’t hard). We decided we would fly into Sydney. The first two weeks are going to be spent in Sydney and working our way up the east coast. We’ll probably travel by train or bus and stay in hostels. Our only plan is to have fun while we head north.
The highlight of our tip is probably going to be a week long SCUBA live-aboard. We are going to explore the Great Barrier Reef with Mike Ball Expeditions.
After the Mike Ball trip we want to hit Tasmania. We don’t know how we are going to get there yet, which is part of the reason this will be an adventure and not just a trip. I’m going to catch a Tasmanian Devil and throw it on Mark while he is asleep.
I bought a few new toys for this trip: laptop, video camera, and housing to take the camera underwater. I plan to use the laptop to communicate with my family and friends while I’m over there. I hope to be able to plug in and keep this website up to date. If I can do that, then I won’t have to call anyone and I’ll save lots of money. When I get back I plan to make a movie of the trip’s highlights.
