my life — my way

Japan 2008

December 4, 2008

This is a grand adventure year for me.

This time it was a buisness trip, so I didn't have to flip the bill. That was nice. Real nice.

The project I work on is a joint project with JAXA (Japan's NASA). I signed up to do a real important component of the project, which involved a trip to Japan to discuss a few things.

The trip ended up being really quick, lots of fun, and very informative about the project. I think I learned more in those few days than any single month in my cube. It also changed my view on the way we work with Japan. I think that's a good thing.

Some of the highlights of the trip include a Bhudisht Shrine, the Emperor's Palace, and half priced sushi. I was also really impressed with how friendly and polite everyone was. And the contry as a whole is incredibly clean. It's like they take pride in doing a good job. I was almost in culture shock.
