Manteo - 2008 OBX

Once we got over the bridge we were pretty much home free. We just had to get through Manteo. It's only a few miles, and you could feel the end is near, so it passed by rather quickly. We could also feel the excitement, because the people who already finished were leaving and there was a big traffic jam. They were honking the horns and trying to encourage us. It was nice, but mainly because we knew the end was near.

I didn't take any pictures of Manteo because at that time I was in survival mode. I had been trying to push my time a little and I was feeling the effects.
