This dive wasn't as incredible to me as the last one. I think that is because I kinda knew what to expect. Don't get me wrong, it was still incredible. Lots of fish (which I can't identify). There were some decent sized groupers and some snappers swimming around eating at the little fish.
One thing that I ran into on this dive that I run into on lots of dives in invertabre animals at the safety stops. Around 15 feet, there are these tiny invertabres just floating around. They are practically transparent, you can only see a faint outline and the internal organs. They just float along with the currents, some 'swimming', but a lot just hanging out. If you touch one of the ones that is just hanging out, it swims away as if you were a preditor trying o hunt it down.
All the seasoned divers say this is great conditions for the Yongala. The seas are calm and the viz is good. Mike Ball said that the conditions are this good only about 20 days a year. I'm glad I got to experience it with these conditions. I hope the rest of the week turns out to be just as fantastic.
