I'm writing this journal on 1/16/2. I honestly don't remember that much of the dive. I did 23 dives the past week, and they are all starting to run together in a beutiful mix of excitement and pleasure.
OK, the dive is coming back to me:
We started the dive with a kodiak ride to the site. We went down and explored the reef. I wasn't that impressed with it (obviously since I couldn't remember it for a while). Mark said he saw a turtle, but I didn't see anything cool like that. My main memory of the site is there was lots of hard plate coral. Actually, I think this is the site I saw a hermit crab playing around. That was pretty neat.
OK. I remember the dive now.
This was my third video dive. I was supposed to shot a video of the dive. Since I couldn't edit on the ship I was supposed to do all the editing in the camera. This is a lot harder, because you aren't supposed to make mistakes. I start the video giving a little talk about the site and what we plan to do. Then we take the kodiak ride (not on tape). Then we are in the water.
I just looked at my last dive entry (making sure I didn't confuse the two dives). It was pretty blank, so I'm not sure which is which. I'll look at the video when I get home and re-do the write ups. Trust me...
