The purpose of this dive was to find and photograph a certain type of fish. We were told this fish lives on a ledge about 60 feet deep and is about 6 inches long. The thing that is neat about this fish is the way it moves. Instead of swimming around like most (intelligent) fish, this fish uses it's fins as legs and walks along.
There were some sponges at about 40 meters, which we didn't even bother to go try to look at. Neither of us wanted to go that deep. I was real interested in finding that walking fish.
The topside of the dive site was great. There were walls that just dropped straight into the water. We parked to boat in Deep Glen Bay where we were sheltered from the wind and waves. The waves were a few feet high and we were in a small boat, so the shelter was a good thing. A very good thing.
When we dropped in the water Mark and I just hung around the wall for the entire dive. I wasn't to keen on this dive, because when you looked up to the surface you could see the waves crashing into the walls. It probably looked worse than it really was, but it looked like a good place to have an accident and die. I wasn't too worried because I knew if I kept my head and applied my skills I would be fine (which I was).
Didn't see anything real impressive on this dive, except the seaweed swaying in the current.
