I feel that as an American I need to let my views on everything be know. I must judge existence!!!
I’m kinda a slacker, so I’ll pass on judging existence for now. Instead I’ll just judge movies, books and whatever else I feel like.

A week or two ago the unthinkable happened. I ran out of books on my Kindle. At least, I ran out of books that I wanted to read. I've still got a lot of free classics that just didn't interest me at the time. And then there's a few copies of the Bible, but I was feeling rather heathenic at the time. Yes, it's a real word even though I just made it up. English is alive, which lets us make up words and verb nouns.
Plot: A girl is raised by demons. As she gets older she ends up running errands for the demons. Mainly what she does is retrieves teeth from teeth collectors. See, the demons want the teeth. A few chapters into the book an angel makes an entrance and tries to kill the girl. Obviously that didn't happen because the book would end there. Can't have a good story without a protagonist. So why doesn't the angel kill the girl? What's up with all these teeth? Does the girl really know kung fu? All these questions and more are answered when you read the book!
What I thought: It was a fun book, on a very easy reading level. It reminded my of the Mockingjay series. Fun and simple. That's what I liked. What I didn't like was the last three words of the book: to be continued. Ummm, no. I didn't sign up for a wait while the author figures out how to end the story. That's just lame. If you're going to write a book at least write the entire thing at once. Don't drag it out thinking you can get a few more bucks from all your fans a year or so later.
FYI - I thought the ending as it stands is pretty good. Not what all the tweens and teenagers (target audience) would want, but too bad.
A quote to appease the masses. Someone in the story says this:
This isn't some goddamn Narnia book
And no, it isn't. At least the Narnia books actually finish the story when you get to the last page.
Should you read it? Not yet. Wait until it's finished, then maybe.
So we were going to go to King's Dominion for Halloween, but its raining. I might melt. So instead we decided to go see a movie. The boy wanted Anonymous, because there were cannons in the trailer. The rest of us were enh, but we decided to go anyway.
Plot: Shakespeare is illiterate. Some nobleman really wrote the plays and whatnot, but Willy takes credit. There was a lot of intrigue, the cannons rolled out, then the credits rolled up.
What I thought: I took my iPod with hopes that there would be an internet connection. Luckily there was a connection, but I ended letting my lovely wife borrow my iPod while I watched the movie. I think she was looking for shoes or a coat. I actually thought the movie was pretty good. It was a lot better than I was expecting. So it was either a good movie, or my expectations were just really low. Either way, I had a fun evening.
Should you see it? Yes, and you can leave your iPod at home.
